The Recreational Boat Skipper (PER) it is the most popular recreational boating qualification in Spain. It allows you to command vessels up to 15 metres in length and navigate up to 12 miles from the coast, as well as sailing between islands in the Balearic and Canary archipelagos.

To obtain the qualification, it is necessary to pass a theoretical multiple-choice exam out of 45 questions, complete the basic safety and navigation practices, and finish the radio communication practices. Our online PER course focuses on thoroughly preparing you for the theoretical part and the nautical chart exercise.

The exam is passed with 32 correct responses, but there are three eliminatory blocks that are advisable to master: the International regulation for preventing collisions (RIPA), with a maximum of 5 errors; the marking, with a maximum of 2 errors; and the exercise of navigation chart, also with a maximum of 2 errors.
